Overview

A near-omnipotent sentient magical orb owned by Kevin in Bali DnD.

Personality and Relationships

Carol's defining trait is that she is incredibly rude. She is perpetually annoyed and often makes mean comments towards the people who ask her questions. She always gives them the information they ask for, though. I guess the knowledge of (almost) everything in the world currently happening tends to weigh down a pers- er, orb...

She shares a psychic connection with both Cinnamon and Kevin, making them the closest thing to friends she has (not that Carol has any particular longing for friends). She is apparently aware of their thoughts as well as their actions. Carol does not divulge any information about Kevin or Cinnamon unless the fleshsacks in question permit her to. It is presumed that this is a part of her psychic link to them, or maybe she really does care about them enough to not reveal their innermost fears and desires. Considering all she already knows about them, Kevin and Cinnamon have both taken up the habit of venting to her while alone. This is annoying and repetitive for Carol, but she does offer them advice, albeit cloaked in insults.

She is part of a series of several similar orbs. The party later makes use of her "brother," Harold, who has a dreamwalking ability. A similar orb, Pearl, is present in the faction campaign as an incentive for participants in the Clamiseum. Further, the final puzzle the party members encounter in her pocket dimension suggests there may be a full rainbow of orbs scattered throughout the lands.

Campaign

Carol is often used by Kevin and the resistence to gather intel. At one point, she is broken, causing Tea, Solomaz, and Nag to get sucked into her Carol dimension and see the memories of Kevin, Cinnamon, and Delilah, a mysterious member of their old party. Luckily, she is fixed thanks to the party (and Omni? He was there but I can't remember if he actually did anything).
